"Oh what a night!"

Thanks go to Irene Craven and her Social Sub Committee members for another great night at the club. Starting off with a chat and a drink and then going on to a hard fought Skittles Competition between 8 teams of six. There was lots of good humoured banter from our skittles compare for the evening Mr. Pete Hardy ably assisted by his wife Aud who kept the score.

Halfway through the evening we stopped play to enjoy fish and chips from the local chippy.

It was then time for the Commodore Mr. John Mountfort to present cheques to three local childrens organisations for the sum of £1000.00 each which had been raised by members during 2009. The three were Portage which is run by Staffordshire County Council, Home-Start Stafford & District a charity based here in stafford and Stafford Swallows.
